YASPA was formed in March 2025 as a not-for-profit organisation. We exist to promote and support competitive Scrabble to the young people of Australia.

Welcome to YASPA otherwise known as Youth Australia Scrabble Players Association. We are a non for profit organisation targeting the Youth of Australia, mainly children who are under the age of 18 years old. We are about children playing competitive Scrabble and forming an group that recognises and represents these children playing competitive Scrabble across Australia. We want to build onto the exisiting scrabble communities to foster positive future endeavors and prospects for Scrabble in Australia.

Our constitution and vision statement is committed growing and consolidating youth participation in competitive Scrabble across Australia.

We are a growing community of players, parents, teachers and supporters who are committed to prompting Scrabble to the Youth of Australia.

The inaugural committee members are committed to excellence and growing the young people in playing scrabble across Australia.

We believe we are at the start of huge growth of the next generation of competitive Scrabble across Australia.

Since the 2024 AJSC we have seen new players come on board in other states and growth is starting to consolidate in NSW, Queensland and ACT.

We would like to grow and consolidate youth scrabble nationally across Australia.

And bring parents, teachers and supporters along with us on this exciting journey.
